Jazz It Up!
lright! Alright! Alright!
Jessica is my name but crafting is my game…today anyway.
My work coffee cup has looked a little sad lately or maybe I’m just tired of looking at it. So…what is there to do but jazz it up a bit.
I popped over to a big box store (at lunch) and picked up a gold paint pen and a couple of white coffee mugs for CHEAP! Like under $5 yall.
Yes…I would rather have had some other color but that was all they had and I didn’t feel like going on a hunt, plus…I’m at lunch so I don’t have time to be running around town. Probably most importantly, I am an instant gratification kind of person and when I want something done, I want it done. So… I promise…I will do better next time.
Seriously, this is probably the easiest and cheapest project I have ever done. You should do it too.
First, I took the sticker off and washed the cups, waited on them to dry, decided what I wanted to write with the gold pen and wrote it. And set it out of dry.
I made a few mistakes and wasn’t happy with my handwriting so I quickly wiped it off and started over. Easy peasy friends…easy peasy. Crafters Note: If you don’t act quickly though…you may have to add a little soap and water and some scrubbing action to get the job done.
If I had been making this mug to last forever, I would have probably heated in the oven to seal the paint to the cup, but honestly, I was really just looking for a pick me up for today and tomorrow so I left off that step.
When I am ready for a new pick me up, these can go in the spare office mug cabinet and someone can just pretend to be Jessica.
Boom! Check it out.
Aren’t they cute?
