Aldi and Me

Yall…seriously…I am in LOVE!  Like really, truly, deeply in love.

Why on God’s green earth has no one encouraged me stop at Aldi’s at least one time over the last four or five months?  I think it opened in September and here I am just going in this week.

We (me and the kiddos) popped by our local store Sunday afternoon to try to grab something that might qualify as a quick dinner.

I took the “twins” in hopes that they would distract people as I was trying to insert my quarter into the little slot in the buggy and unhook the red bungee cord thingy.  Plus…I figured I was going to need some backup to help wrangle my bagless groceries safely back to the car.

Surprisingly, it was all super easy.

MOM Note:  Don’t want to look like a newbie?  Take the kids.  While you are trying to figure out how everything works with minimal embarrassment, other moms will be secretly giving you kudos for teaching life skills to your kids.

Inside we found aisle after aisle, well not really because they only have like 3 aisles, but we found some aisles full of deliciousness.

So far our favorite has been these amazing Benton brand cookies (taste just like Girl Scout cookies but only better and cheaper).  Now I am not saying you shouldn’t donate to the Girl Scouts because you totally should but you can get your cookie fix for the whole year right here for a fraction of the cost.

I dropped in at lunch today and picked up a salad, some cheese, some veggies, and dinner for under $15.  Yall…I’ve never spent that little in Walmart and gotten that much.  So thank you from my wallet ALDI.

Seriously…I am impressed and it takes a lot to impress me this early in the week.

I’ve actually been three times since Sunday at 2 different stores.  Those cookies, they were like my gateway drug into the Aldi life.

Can’t wait for tomorrow.  I am bound and determined to try it all.

What’s your favorite find at Aldi’s?
